My name is Angela and I’m the owner, buyer (and everything else-er) of The Chiffon Cat Vintage. I'm a cat lady with a passion for budget-friendly shopping. I enjoy exploring local flea markets and thrift stores to find the coolest hand-picked items.
In 2013, The Chiffon Cat Vintage (sometimes referred to as The Cat) came to life in a small Ohio town. The idea for a vintage shop was sparked by many years of flea market and thrift store shopping, inspiration from friends and family, and compliments from random strangers. (Thanks, guys!)
I started by taking poorly lit photographs in my first apartment and creating listings on Etsy. Despite my subpar photography skills, people began to purchase my items! I continued to grow my vintage collection as I moved from town to town. It wasn’t until 2017 that I participated in my first vintage pop-up event. It was miserably hot and rainy (hello Florida), but also one of the best experiences of my shop life. I haven’t looked back since.
The goal of the Chiffon Cat Vintage is to create vintage vibes by recycling hand-picked secondhand finds and combine modern fashion with classic style. What in the world does that mean, you ask? It means that each of my items are hand-picked with you and Mother Nature in mind. By selecting classic pieces that fit with modern-day fashion, The Cat helps reduce unnecessary clothing waste one outfit at a time.
